Maybe the Police across the country should stage a nation wide strike.
Let the idiots in the big liberal cities who voted for these socialist see what life without the police would really be like. See was am Antifa administration would be like.

I think this should happen. Whenever they talk of defunding the police, this should be the answer.

Sounds great, except that legally the police can't go on strike....

Well, at least we'd be able to take care of the problem unencumbered.

Nice idea, but only those with the strongest unions can fly under the radar with the Blue Flu at best...the rest cannot strike by law...but nice thought

I don't think that has ever prevented a single case of the blue flu.

Too late, the LAPD pledged to give $150 million from it's department to "social programs" instead.

    What a ****ing joke.

So what happens if they did it anyway ?

You couldn't simply fire them all. Then we'd really be screwed.

The LAPD did not pledge that. Mayor "Garcetti the Kneeler" took it from them.

Interesting concept...they would be investigated and possibly charged with a crime ( depending upon state law)...and I am sure many would be fired, but like you said, then who would do the work...certainly the Chiefs are sure as heck not gonna run calls...although I think they should be required to work a shift every month

That's not really true. I just saw a Vox article that said all 50 states prohibit police strikes, which is clearly false like all Vix articles. I saw another, more scholarly one saying that 42 states prohibit police strikes, but when I checked their reference for Kentucky, it only applied to the police in 1 of our counties (Lexington/Fayette) and we have another statute prohibiting strikes for the police in 1 other county (Louisville/Jefferson). I see absolutely no rule against the police striking at the state level or in the other 118 counties.

However, I expect that even where they can strike, the police just don't have special government power and protection that lets them strike without consequences, like private sector employees, under our socialist labor system. On the other hand, even without protection the difficulty and expense of hiring and training police makes a strike a possibility.

Biggest crap hole cities don't sound like they side with the police, don't sound like they have support from above in alot of places so i think that in these places they sound just pay them to stay home for a year and see how it work's out for them, sometimes you have to learn the hard way.
I wouldn't want to be one for twice what they make, ain't worth it, but these cesspool cities ought to know one thing...your selection of decent people to pool from will get smaller because some are gonna say no, i'll go work in the private sector, always gonna be a bad apple here and there, but if they don't back the Blue it will be more.

For the first time in the 4 years since I retired I listened to a scanner last weekend and couldn't believe what I was hearing. We had about 250 guys injured, had guys attacked and stripped on their gear, squads broken into and rifles taken, then torched. I bet we had at least 2 dozen squads wrecked.

The morons running the show would put 6 to 12 guys on an intersection and they would get surrounded and beat by fists, baseball bats, urine, feces, and acidic's thrown on them. They couldn't/wouldn't shoot because they were either afraid of being the next one hanged or they didnt have enough bullets and the mob would have killed them. The first night or two the city didn't even cancel days off because they wanted to save the OT money

And thats not even the Looting. The laughing, cackling mob tore up and stole from an entire downtown shopping district unimpeded. Then they went to the neighborhood Mom and Pops and caravans of 50+ started hitting suburban shopping mall's. ALL expensive stuff in expensive retail stores. I knew something like this was going to happen with this COVID stuff but never thought it would be this bad.

Ive been in 4 or 5 riots myself, including a lot of mini ones, but I never heard anything this bad on the radio zones. Now a precedent has been set and it will keep happening time and again.

I was working in and around DC in the late 60's. I remember the "War on Poverty" very clearly. The DC Govt. built some really nice public housing units, multi-story apartment buildings.
Fast forward to the 80's, I'm living in NC and just happened to notice on national TV a story about run down housing in DC and what a shame it was. I did a double take when I recognized one of the buildings that I had watched being built. The only occupants were vagrants , drug addicts etc. Holes in the walls, trash in the stairways, windows knocked out etc. Condemned uninhabitable by DC govt.
So much for giving someone housing at low or no cost.
That period also began the "Welfare Baby Boom" where unwed and unemployed women could get monthly checks for each offspring. They would share the money with the baby-daddy. One of our laborers had more than one such arrangement, so I know first hand that this was a way of life for some.

The powers that be are hoping they can throw some red meat to the mov and then hope they can whisper in their police departments' ear, "I didn't really mean all that. I want to keep my job. Keep the wealthy and politically connected safe. Ignore the rest."

5 of 1243 shootings even involved the Police. Thats 0.4%. There have been 8 self defense shootings by legally armed citizens. And this is actually low because the last 2 nights havnt been included. https://heyjackass.com/ There were at least 5 last night.

You can only de-Police so much because they keep calling 911 and they do have to eventually respond and they murder each other as if they are collecting bounties in these neighborhoods.
