I have a king size mattress and box spring for sale and normally would not be hesitant to deal with craiglisters in a neutral location but they have to come to my garage this time.

Dont know if having potential scammers is worth it but just having someone take it would alleviate me disposing of it.

    What say you?

If you find someone to buy your mattress tell them I got some used underwear to sell them too...

Call Amvets. They will come out to pick it up. You get the deduction and they get your used (hopefully not abused) mattresses.

You know, I would NEVER buy a used mattress but apparently a lot of folks will because I see ad after ad for them all over the place. To each his own.

Some sage advice though...do not give out your phone number unless you want your phone ringing all the time at all hours of the day for the next two weeks from craigslisters responding to your ad.

Amvets will gladly take it off your hands and you will be doing a service to that fine organization.

Sell it, at least it gets it hauled. Then mark it SOLD on the ad, to prevent future calls.

If you despose of it, you may be charged a toxic waste desposal fee.

Good luck bearshoegun. I have noticed lots of placed are getting picky. I tried to get rid of an old computer a couple years ago and was told by several different agencies that they no longer took computers. I know mattress are difficult to get rid of as well.
Looks like you will need to get on the phone and let your fingers do the walking.

You know they say that in the life span of a matress it can double its weight because of dust mites and bodily oils. :wow:

Dont know about you but I for one wouldnt buy a used mattress.

I'd make a hammock made from barbed wire before I'd buy a used mattress.
