No body is licking anyone’s boots here, and both Mattis and McRaven are way more a patriot than the pathetic losers who can only bow to lick Trumps boots. I voted for him and probably will again. Unless a real parrot like Mattis were to run anyway. I’m out; you and your kind make me want to throw up. Sick losers who can only insult others ... like Trump.

I’d like some explanation of this stance. Not trying to be a duck, but am really interested in how/when.

I don’t agree with Mattis on his insistence that we stay in Syria, but then I’m not party to all the info. I’m very tired of shedding blood and $$$ in places where we don’t seem to get any advantage. If it doesn’t directly benefit the USA, I’m if the opinion that we should pass.

What benefit do the Kurds and Syria have for the USA?

I'm very honored that I disgust someone who thinks only military veterans have "earned the right to speak." Take your fascist BS to North Korea.

"Mattis and McRaven are both very highly decorated Flag officers who have earned the right to say what they think, unlike many of the people who responded here."

Taken from your original post. What an anti American, fascist, wholly disgusting opinion. You and anyone who liked your post are deranged.

I like Mattis. That doesn’t mean he’s right about everything, and that’s okay.

I’ll tell you what when on.

Did you notice after the Bin Laden raid, EVERY news source and politician changed his name from Osama to Usama?

All these years he was Osama, until the raid.

    They killed some other guy.

Why? Are you running a purity test to see who gets to practice their 1A rights? Sorry, this isn't Starship Troopers and its softcore fascism you seem to love, citizenship doesn't require service.

Fascism is becoming a very popular word. Not a judgement, just an observation.

I am going to take that as a fat NO. If you did serve you would understand @druryj replies and it has nothing to do with fascism.

    Right you are!

And, in some states, saying things like that would be enough to get "Red Flagged".

Our Republic is unique and lasting. Americans can and should question the decisions of our elected leaders.
The Founding Fathers gave us the 2nd Amendment to insure that right. :flag:

We all have the right to speak our minds...

regardless of military service. Not having served in the military is not a disqualifier. One need not have ever served to realize what is going on here.

The more Trump goes against the M.I.C. The louder the noise is going to get. As many have already stated in this thread, war is the most profitable endeavor in the history of mankind. We left millions if not billions worth of equipment, weapons, ammo, and buildings sitting to rot in the desert or to be given into the hands of terrorists, namely ISIS when we left Iraq.

When false narratives about threats to "National Security" enter the equation, no expenditure is questioned. I would bet 10 to 20% of the money that was put into play in our last war went into the pockets of contractors, crooked brass, and politicians. It is estimated that 1.9 trillion dollars has been spent on the Iraq war. If it was only 10% to 20% misappropriated, stolen, embezzled, pilfered or whatever you want to call it, that is 1.9 to 3.8 billion dollars, and very well could be more.

On 9/10/2001, Donald Rumsfeld reported that there was 2.3 trillion dollars spent or otherwise disbursed through the pentagon, "military spending" that could not be accounted for. That was BEFORE our last/current military efforts began.

There is too much money at stake for the sellouts to not start towing the globalist company line. Smedley Butler was correct, war is the most profitable racket ever.
