I believe that "out of the ordinary" and "odd" things are done just for the challenge of it, and sometimes doing so can bring about welcome change in the process! And yeah, the LeMat really is a cool pistol isn't it? It has kind of a steam punk-ish appeal to it which I think deserves to be reintroduced with a modern flair! And if a reputable manufacturer were to offer a metallic cartridge/shotshell version I think I'd be on it like white on rice. I could just see the looks on people's faces in the adjoining lanes at the indoor range when your first kA-b00m!! at 10 yards with a round of 20ga #8 shot renders 98% of your paper target to confetti :D

    I like the MTB-8 the best. It's an 8 shot 38 special.

I guess it is a revolver for folks who like DA/SA semiautomatics.

The only functional reason I hear about involves the lower bore axis and reduced muzzle flip.

I saw a couple of Metaba pistols at gun shows way back when. I just never warmed up to them or even generated interest in them. Sorry...……...

Owned a Chiappa...design really does lessen felt-recoil...357 does feel like 38 spl but mine had consistent accuracy issues which the factory was completely obtuse about correcting, so bye-bye

The fixed barrel and low bore axis should make it the fastest and most accurate competition gun out there, if Laugo's barrels are good enough. On the other hand, you can have an awfully nice gun built for $5,000 and the lack of aftermarket parts would be a drawback.

Product warning, I have shot one they are an ugly ill handling beast just FYI. There is no advantage over a regular revolver and a good Smith and Wesson trigger is worlds better.

I think is prudent to add that they are made very well. Fit and finish on the example I shot was very nice

I'm puzzled as to why any firearm produced nowadays has to have an advantage over anything else of current manufacture?

For me to buy one ,I'm not intrested in collecting things I don't shoot except for some very rare pieces that I have a liking for. This particular weapon answers a question to a problem that's not out there it's kind of cool if you like it I guess.
