Got wet socks, a really heavy hat, and dishpan hands this Saturday morning. Started a bit late getting the paper mounted, but good uptake with scores by netpad. Smooth, well run match with lots of help.

Left Saturday morning at 4:00 am got home at 10.50 pm...a 850 mile round trip and it was fantastic.I was having my doubts as I was traveling through Cambridge Ohio and the realized that our President Bush was making an apprearance...unbelievable traffic. I arrived around 1:15 pm and followed the instructions to sign up for the electronic scoring....WOW this is really something....immediate feedback. The weather was trying to be intimidating all day but I was actually able to shoot the 5 to Glock and Glock M without covers...and they actually put up new D1s when I shot the 5 to glock.
The Ro's were outstanding....and I received my usual offer to buy my Notre Dame cap so it could be thrown away.

One of the things I noticed that I was more relaxed at the match...with the new scoring system I wasn't in a big hurry to get through the match and I actually enjoyed it.I met some old and some new friends....the Sidearmor Team...Bob...Glenn...Steve...Jason..and his wife Michelle...Jason celebrated a personal best...I believe he broke a 97.0 ;c ;c I want to thank everyone at Marietta for a great day.

Oh Yeah...I had a personal best too 117.88..for me thats great;f

Enjoyed RO'ing - even in the rain.
    Thanks.

Very well run match. I hate target bags. This was the 2nd time I shot Ohio in the rain maybe we will have better weather next year. Scores for Am Civ and Comp were terrible but 78~ in unlimited despite a jam.

All you guys picked the wrong day to shoot!! We just got back and though very hot, the weather was great. This was my first GSSF match and I was impressed with the group of R.O.'s. They all deserve a big thank you, they were knowledgeable and helpful. I shot in Am Subcompact with my G30. Here are my scores:

    Glock Plates: 30.25
    Glock M : 60.33
    5 to Glock : 60.20

Must have missed you in the rain. We had to drive back so we couldn't wait for the rain to end.

I would like to thank Steve and Glenn for letting GM and I tag along and for a great day of shooting and friendship, Glenn great job with the weather for telling us to wait for the rain to quit and Steve for your Truck with out it my knee would have been trash and with a time in AM/G I'll take 2nd, GM and I had a great time spending the day with you two and next year we will get a hotel in Mareatia so we can all eat at Rayns two times a day :) Gerat place to eat.

The match was run with little or no snags on Sat, with a 147 shooters mostly in the RAIN that I thought would never stop but at 2 pm it let up enought to start and by 3 the target condoms came off and the sun tryed to come out but other than that it was a fun match and at the pRatice plates where you got two runs for a Buck you can't beat it, SO Great job Fort Harmar and we will see you next year.

Even though there was on/off rain on Saturday, the match was fun & seemed very well run to me (thanks to all the efficient & friendly RO's, especially the lady IDPA Match Director working the plates). Registration was very fast & efficient. Thanks especially to my team mates on Team Shooters Paradise GSSF(formerly Team Blazer).

As for my personal performance; well, lets just say I have had better days! I do HATE shooting through plastic trash bags (AKA target condoms). To my surprise, my best plate run came with Driver8M3's unlimited gun - a gun I had not shot/practiced with; that is one sweet shooting glock!

Noah: Good to see you again! Man, your Unlimited groups were unbelievable! (baggies and all). Lets hope the weather will be better in PA.

Thanks again GSSF. See you in PA!

Well,Susan and I didn't get away feom home till a little after noon on Saturday- we didn't hurry on the way over and got to the range about 6:00pm...We knew it's was over for the day , but we just wanted to see the place...We saw a RO- he was camping there for the weekend- he was just eating supper, and you could tell he was one tired happy man...He said things were going GREAT, despite the rain, and said at that time they had had 150 competitors go thru!
I Really like the range! They have maybe 4 really big pistol pits, plenty of porta johns, a nice registration area, and its a really beautiful drive from Marietta to the range..Did anybody else see that "big rock" in that creek? I asked a RO about it and he said sometime the young ones like to sun themselves on it- man that thing was as big as a house!
Anyway..we slept in and got there about 1130 Sunday, and the crowd was pretty light...I visited ALOT, and wasn't in a hurry to shoot, and was done at 2:30- If I'da hustled I could have been done in an hour.
It was nice to see the Glock staff there, always helpful and nice , and you know it's a loooong weekend for them.
One thing I REALLY liked is they had a "Practice PLate" pit set up- 2 runs for a buck- and it was right next door to the "real" plate pit,so a guy could heat up on the plates over in the practice pit, then run them for real when his name was called.
I'm sure the little data boxes screwed up somewhere along the line, but they read my barcodes everytime and never screwed up on my runs-so I'm happy with them...
Shootin'...Well, Id had the flu, and didn't really wanna try to crank it up- you know, get all the jucies flowin' and get all sweatty...
I still felt a little crummy...
So I took and decided I would just try to run clean(er) and NOT fast(er)...
I loafed on the plates-32.55(no misses)Shot the GLock'M in 35.86 with 12 sec in penalty points=47.86....5 to glock I ran in 32.92 plus 6 sec in penalties=38.92...totalled out at 119.33, but I was happy with my effort, happy with my gun, happy with my loads, and had a great afternoon in wayyyy southern Ohio- real pretty country...
Thanks to all for a great weekend!
So We just took it easy and cruised on back to Indiana listenin' to Hendrick Racin' Whooop up the rest of the Boys over in Penna...

I knew that Ryans would be good.

    But I was really tired.

And opted to eat at the restaurant at the hotel

IT was called Damons I don't know how mapquest gave 4 or 5 stars.

The food was fair at best and that was being kind.

The "service" was so bad that they should come up with another name for it.

It started out with the guy at the next table telling his "server"

I don't want the "food" before you bring me my soup and salad.

We heard several more complaints from tables in range of our hearing.

When our server brought our drinks he slopped them on my pants leg.

Then it went down hill from there.

The last time he said your food will be up shortly I asked him if it would be in the same eon.

I started asking any employee that past by if the kitchen was on strike.

The manager finaly brought the food himself. (half an hour after the salad)

No way I can recomend the place!

Sorry that we service folk at Ft. Harmar GSSF have no control over your food, service, or sheet quality at the local motel/restaurants.

Well run match, though, wasn't it?

I had a great time at the Match even though the weather was horrible. I got to the range on Saturday morning with the rest of Team Shooters Paradise. It was raining so we decided to hold off on shooting. We waited in the car for about an hour. It was a good decision because I was able to shoot part of the match during a very short break in the rain. I saw a lot of familiar and happy faces.

Thanks to all of the RO's, GSSF, and everyone else who helped run the Match.

Well first off, This was my first time at Ohio and it will not be my last, God willing and the creek don't rise, little joke from last year I've been told. The match was well run, plenty of ROs, very nice to park right where the ranges are, and as previously mentioned, how nice to have Porta Johns at each pit,by the way how do you keep the Porta Johns smelling so good, just wondering?? ;C ;C ;C .
Now, even though the Porta Johns smelled good, my shooting made up for that and was really poopy. While I now have figured out what went wrong, and it will be corrected for Topton, Listed below are my feelings of what went wrong,or at least what I'm swearing too. ;Q ;Q
    1. Bad Aliens took over my body in Ohio ;E ;E , see the Good Aliens were happy with some of their work in N.H. and were on vacation at Disney in Fla. They have since been notified to show up at Topton or face a stiff fine.

    2. In discussion with of one of my team members, we've received inside information that members of another unknown team, you know who you are, has acquired numerous Voodo dolls clothed in Grey Golf shirts, and have been witnessed pouring water over the dolls during the day on Sat., and then holding waxed paper in front of the dolls faces to obscure handgun sights.;P ;P ;P

    3. I believe the above to be true, ;z ;z ;z and contain no Bull from this writer, of course that's just my opinion, and I'm old, and what could I know. :soap: :soap: :soap: See ya at Topton on Sun.
