Tried making some frozen margaritas from scratch last night and they were pretty terrible. Lime juice, orange liqueur, cuervo, little sugar, and ice. Just not a whole lot of taste there. Too much ice maybe? Crappy limes? :headscratch:
Use the recipe on the back of the roses lime juice bottle....its a good journeymen recipe. Tequila, lime juice, triple sec, sweet and sour. We tend to a little more triple sec and a little less lime juice.
Try the Can Can recipe, it's WAY better than it sounds:
1 can limeade concentrate
using same can, add 1 can each of:
tequila
beer (I know, sounds gross, but just do it)
triple sec
water.
I mix salt and sugar, equal parts for the glass rim.
1 can frozen limeade concentrate
1 empty limeade can full of tequila + 1/2 can of vodka
1 bottle of Corona
then pack the blender to the tippy top with ice and fire it up
WARNING: Do not try this if you have any plans at all for the next four hours or so. These will get you bombed like Hiroshima.

I'm a die hard Jose Quervo mix and tequila, on the rocks with and slice of lime and rim full of salt, BUT...last summer a girl at the local liquor store gave me the recipe above(minus the triple sec)and it is REALLY good!! I used a Corona beer.. No kidding, I was a little skeptical before I tried it.
2oz Blanco Tequila
2oz FRESH Lime Juice
1 oz Patron Orange Liquor
