At that rate you could run a marathon after work and not miss supper.

My pace is just a bit slower that that

My house has a track right out my front door, exactly 1/4 mile, that’s like him running around it almost 105 times in 68 seconds each lap. I can do it in 1:45 per lap but I can’t even do that 4 times. My best 1/2 marathon is 2:39:59 min, Kip would be showered and rested up by the time I do my 1/2 lol and he does it with a smile on his face.

i use to run much more than I do now. Approaching 50, very hard to find the motivation. Never tried a full or half a marathon. No need to try. I find it amazing people do it, especially the ultra marathon runners, now that is crazy.

Does anybody know if they take the hills on a marathon route into consideration when they have a "record breaking" event?? I sure ain't a runner, but figure it would be easier to keep up a good pace on flat ground instead of a place with a lot of hills.

I’m not even sure if I could walk 26 miles in a whole day. Even if I could I’d be one of those guys that crosses the finish like with a load of scat in my shorts.

Actually this event was all for show and to prove it could be done. No official record was broken. Kip does have the worlds fastest marathon at 2 hrs and a minute or two though.

Holy smokes. My son in law is running the Chicago marathon tomorrow. He's aiming for breaking 2 hours 40 minutes, which was his time last year.

68 seconds over and over again is insane.

I ran the 400 in HS, but wouldn't be able to keep up that place for even two laps, much less 105!

    A 2:16 800 m is very good IIRC.

You can't get here from there!
I couldn't even run a single 4:34 mile when I was in the best shape of my life.

    Regards,
    Happyguy :)

Lol. I just had a funny thought. A pretty ok runner could keep up that place for about a lap, so this guy is 105x better. A pretty ok bench press is 300 lb. 105x300 = 31500 lb

I guess this stuff doesn't work the same way for lifting.

The man is basically a human motor or human air pump.

It's amazing what the body can accomplish when specifically and highly trained.
