I read somewhere that there is an oriental culture of, if you hit someone with your car, make sure they're dead. The reason was because if you only injured them, by law you had to care for them for the rest of their life.

Maybe that was on TV and total BS?

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Not that different from the teachings of my Business Law instructor at a college in FL.

I believe in Mexico you have to support the family to the tune of wages otherwise earned by the deceased. At least at one time, I knew this to be true.
