If I send an original G19 Gen2 slide to Smyrna for steel nights will they automatically inspect/replace the internals without my permission, or just strictly do the sights as I want?

Good question but I’d say they will just do what you requested. To be sure I would ask them to do it.

89109, see my post on "Cheapest place to buy night sights" thread below, page 2.

If you have doubts, just strip the slide except for the sights.

It'd probably come back with all new internals. Lol!

I would think a phone call to them would be best, I'm sure they'll answer all of the questions you may have.

I have sent two slides to Glock for night sights. Yes, if you send your slide to Glock for a sight swap, they will replace everything. If that is a concern, simply take the old parts off of your slide and mail it in that way. Glock will still put new parts on it before they send it back, but you can always take those off and put your original parts back on when it comes back. You can always save the new stuff for spare parts.

    Calling them is good advice.

FWIW, about a year ago I sent a Gen 3 G23 slide in for night sight installation (great deal BTW), and they replaced some extractor parts. I presume they were worn or Glock had upgraded the design. If you’ve got some aftermarket parts you’re worried about retaining, I’d give them a call.

To everyone who replied, thank you. I think I’ll just have them installed locally.
