I have noticed on all my magazines that the notch where the magazine catch grabs the magazine is getting a little "smooshed" on the lower edge. Is that normal? I slap my mags pretty hard into the gun when doing tactical reloads (changing mags with a round still in the chamber). Is it normal for this wear to occur or am I being a little too rough? It seems like it doesnt get any worse than what it's at now.

Not too concerned about it. If it causes a problem I'll just buy new mags. I just wanna know.

Edit: If my verbal description doesn't make sense, I'll post pictures tonight.

Yup, it's pretty common, the harder you slam the mag into the mag well, the more likely it is to happen. Just trim it off.

Yup. Thats exactly what I was referring to. Thanks a lot! Glad to know I'm not over-abusing my magazines.
