magazine help

    i just bought a glock 19 and was wondering how long i can leave a magazine loaded without damaging the spring? in other words how often should i change the rounds into a new magazine? THANKS!!!!

    Springs get worn out from being compressed and released not from being compressed and staying that way. Don't worry about it everything will be fine. If you think you must rotate them by all means do so but it isnt necessary just because it was left loaded.

    i will say after 15 years or more you may start having some problems
    my g 26 is 7 year old and the mag are doing good and they are alway loaded

    leave it in, you wont have problems.....
    if you want to recycle, go ahead, but it wont make a difference.
    There are some guys in here that have left their ammo in there for up to a year (That i have read) or maybe some others that have left it longer, and shot it with no feed problems.

    Out of many brands of handguns I have never had a problem with leaving mags loaded. I have had mags loaded for up to 6 months at a time.
    I will not say it want happen but I have not seen it happen.

    Don't worry about your mags, leave them loaded for ever and those will work fine!
