Hey guy's. I have a couple of Mecgar mags that I bought years ago for my 1911's. The mag body's are well made but the followers suck. The slide stop detent eventually wears and they fail to lock open the slide so I'm thinking of replacing the followers with another maker. McCormicks don't fit, already tried. Anyone here done this and what follower did you use? I know its prolly not worth the bother, I just hate to waste two perfectly good magazine bodies.
i have had good luck with Wilson 8rd follower/spring kit, Metalform dimple follower(7rd) and round top follower.
Thanks guy's. I just ordered 2 of Tripp's Super 7 rebuild kits with the hybrid follower. Can't wait to get'em!
