Well I made up my mind and i'm going to order a glock 38. The glock 4 acp platforms are just to big for me thick as a brick. My favorite glock is the G19 which I have Two. A gen3 and a gen4. So the G38 has the same size frame as the G19. Now my only choice is black or OD. I know a dealer who has two OD G38's in stock.

    OD.

Congrats and welcome to the GAP side! I just picked up an OD green G39. I'd vote for the OD since Glock has discontinued production of OD green.

I was thinking the same thing where glock will no longer be offering OD glocks any more. Both my G19's are black so something different would be good. Ellet brothers in south carolina have two left or should I say one now.

This is going to be my next Glock. I handled the G30SF not long back and it still feels fat to my short fingers so, it seems the 45 GAP is a logical choice. I like the 45 caliber but not the circumference of the G21 or G30's so...logical choice for me. the G38 is especially pleasing as it's just like the G19 mostly. Now-if I can get Starline to start making more brass.

I love my G38 and hope you do your new one when you receive it. :D

Is it just me or are we seeing more posts about the various GAP models and in a much more positive light here in General Gapping recently? It seems to me that more people are trying and buying and fewer people are bashing the GAPS.

Congrats, you're getting a truly great pistol. I have yet to see anybody not like my 38's after shooting them. I just got my first G37 today to complete the GAP family.

Easily the best ergos of any glock I've held. I would own one if the capacity was 10...but the 37 can only muster that. I'd probably own both if they were 13/10 like the ACPs.

I'm still a fan though. Its definitely a nice gun.

I run my G38's 9+1 with the stock mag and base. It's easier to get the 9th round in the "8" round G38 mag's than it is to get the 10th round in the 10 round G30 mags. And all my fingers are on the receiver grip, not the magazine.

My dad use to have a G38. He wishes he still had it. I would not mind having one.

    You've never held a 19 or 23 or 32?

I've considered a 38 and may yet again when the Gen 4 comes out but frankly my M&P 45c is the same size (although a couple of oz heavier) and fits my hand better.

The G38 is my all time favorite Glock. I've owned it since February 2005 and carry it almost daily. I'll get a Gen4 when available.
