Just checked the USPSA classification database and was surprised to see that I am now a limited Grand Master! I made it with my G20 and duty gear(Safariland Raptor holster).

Cnograts Dave! That brings the total of Glock GMs up to?

Also in this round of updates, I found that I am the first Junior to make A class in Production, shooting my home gunsmithed G34 no less.

Congratulations Dave on your ascension to GM. BTW, now there’s going to be two of us with Matt's Top Fuel triggers at Norco.

Oh heck(and I lost a $20 bet to boot)... I was hoping you wouldn't actually get there until Spring 2003! Congrats, of course, see you next Sat at JoJo's match.

I don't understand why the G20 is counted out in IPSC. It has a larger frame and absorbs more recoil, you can download it to make major and it is very soft recoiling, if $$ is an issue for brass you could shoot .40s out of it no problem, with Beven's basepads they hold 20 rounds of .40 or 10mm.

I'm not counting it out. I am still a little flabbergasted that someone made GM with a near stock Glock, and it wasn't a G34/35/17L/24. Heck, I can't even bust out of C class Limited with a hotrodded G35. One of these days...

macgregor45: I find it hard to believe that you're having trouble getting out of C class, especially the way you kicked *** in the TN Sectional match this year.....

Zack, you know they didn't bump me after that performance??!?!?! I can't believe it! What do I have to do, beat Rob L. before I go to B class Limited? The way I understood it if you win your class with a final percentage above your current classification and at least 3 GM's shot the match, you get bumped. I've been passed over twice now, and others that shot the same matches got bumped. AARRRRGGGHH!

And I can completely screw up a classifier. Or maybe they screw up me. ;g

Let me see what I can find out for you. I've been doing a lot of work with the USPSA guys (testing EzWinScore, etc) and I'll ask why you didn't move up. It may have been an oversight or something.

    DVC,
    Zack

Thanks Zack, we might want to continue this in a new thread or PM's.
