The TLR1 is extremly well built and extremely bright. I'm suprised it doesn't cost as much as the surefire...

I would consider the M3X over the M3 and TLR-1 for it's 30% brighter light and available accessories.

They can be had for $129 delivered.

I have two of the TLR-1 lights. Very solid light - well built, good fit on the three glocks I own (19,34,35) and on my 1911. For the size and what you get for the price - the Glock light is a distant second to the TLR.

Did you try the search function? There are a number of threads on those three lights, some with detailed comparisons.

If limited to those options, the TLR-1 would be my choice.

I have the basic M-3 and it's been great for test night shooting. I read some malfunction problems with the TLR-1 being mounted on Glocks, both sides of the fence arguing and such. I was wanting a second lmountable light so I ended up getting the TLR-1 and have shot it on my G-35 and G-19 and didn't have a single hic-up. I only put about 100 rnds thru both hand guns with the light on though. I was gonna get the Glock light and even won a bid on one on gunbroker.com, but then I read all the negative stuff about them here on GT and canceled my order/win.

TLR1 hands down. I have one on my G21C duty weapon and also one on my patrol rifle. I've owned and used the M3, M3X and X200 and like the TLR1 best of all.

another +1 for the TLR-1. Great light, LED bulb AND a great price. Have one on my G23 and had NO issues.

As long as we're posting links, here's one for a TLR-1 sale priced at $99 w/free shipping. The M3X uses a bulb and has a peak lumen out put of 125 with a 60 minute run time. The TLR-1 uses LED with an 80 lumen output for 2.5 hours. I would much rather have the longer runtime. The TLR-1 has a nice light output pattern and is super bright when clearing a house. I've been stuck on searches that lasted for several hours and my TLR-1 has lasted the entire time, while co-workers with the standard M3 have gone dead. You also have to keep in mind that the TLR-1 was designed to fit the same duty holsters that the standard M3 fits. The M3X will not.

Sportsman’s guide has them for $89 (member price). There are plenty of $10 off for a $100 purchase coupons floating around so If you buy another $11 worth of stuff (ammo)it is even cheaper.

The M3X gives off more light. The TLR1 is more focused. I have fired thousands of rounds with my M3X mounted and it does it's job fine. Sounds like the question is: more light or more run time.
