I don't think glock will ever come out with one. Don't really see the need myself. I seen some walthers I think the other day that were single stack and looked quite thin. How many rounds does a typical compact single stack 9 get?

Seven or eight ish rounds. I doubt Glock will ever make one either, but personally I can see the use for a single stack 9mm.

If you carry IWB, single stack is the only way to go. I can carry my PPS IWB at the 5 o'clock position and actually forget I am carrying it while driving. Walther really has a good thing going with the PPS.

A single stack Glock would be as one mm thinner than the 26, but without magazine interchangeability...

    If I want a small single-stack 9, I'll go to Kahr.

I can see Glock making a single stack 9mm just at the request of the NYPD. Since they've banned Kahr pistols as backup guns.

If S&W comes out with a single stack M&P it will sell like hot cakes.

I fondeled the PPS a while back and loved it! For the local prices I can't jump on it honestly. Ive been in the market for a single stack 9. The LC9 is winning so far, I passed up a pf9 tonight for 240 just because I can't get past the cheapness feel of the keltecs.

Why did they ban Kahr for backup?

I may not be entirely accurate but some dill weeds can't understand how NOT to pull the trigger when they ain't supposed to. Aka the trigger is too light a pull and they had some negligent discharges.
    But I'm paraphrasing.

Doesn't sound surprising... I shouldn't have even asked, really lol. But doesn't Kahr have like a 7 pound pull? Wouldn't they be safer than the Glock, all things being equal (and when the finger is on the trigger, they usually are)?

EDIT - nevermind, that's too much logic.

I second this, love mine. I like the report from that thread: if it's true I'll pick one up eventually (after the public beta test).

I'd probably already have picked up a LC9 if they made a "non-Cali" model. The fact that I have to void the warranty to ensure that the pistol will in fact fire without a mag inserted and locked in place is a dealbreaker. That "feature" could get the operator killed. That and the gigantic red loaded chamber indicator is just damned silly. Gee, how'd we ever get by without such "features" up till now?

Anyway.. it'd be nice if Glock made a more compact 9mm, something that would really lend itself to pocket-carry.

Since they don't, I see a Kahr in my future.

There is no point for a single stack glock without a thin metal magazin, thin frame, and thin slide - and glock won't change their design ever.

Kind of like expecting Hummer to make a 2-seat sports car.:whistling:

Yep. Double stack subcompact -> single stack subcompact is just like Hummer -> 2-seater :whistling:
