Rocks
M&P Shield Plus VS CSX…”There’s No Comparison Here”!
True but his comparison was with size, grip feel, shoot ability, trigger etc.
Odd a new single action pistol would have a lousy trigger according to him.
Great review. I finally got to handle one at the shop. It felt really nice in my hands. Not sure I want one, I already have the Shield plus and the Sig365.
I didn’t take his view on the trigger as “lousy “, just not as refined. I didn’t shoot one yet but the trigger on the one I handled seemed great. Didn’t feel the hitch in the reset. If I was to get one I would likely have to get rid of one of my current pistols and I am not ready to do that yet. As far as a carry gun I feel satisfied with what I have.
I took it as he didn't like the trigger reset at all.
I do the same as you when buying a new gun. Having just bought a 30SF, the XDs 45 Mod 2 is going. Great pistol but hate the 5 round capacity with the standard mag. Using a more round mag and the gun gets too big. Replacing it with a P365 .380 when available for the wife when she wants to carry smaller than her Shield Plus.
The main criticism is a "false" reset noise when making follow up shots. Seems to be an issue for people who ride the trigger for the quickest follow up shots. Most people let the trigger all the way out and would not even notice.
I rented the CSX and Shield Plus. Bought the Shield Plus. It has replaced my G43 which the P365 and Hellcat couldn't do. The trigger on the CSX I rented was meh at best. It was newish so maybe it will smooth out someday. I wanted to like the CSX. Maybe I'll try it again one day. The Shield Plus is excellent.
