All you M&P Shield owners out there : Are you happy with it so far ? Any problems or negatives about it ? I am doing some serious studying up on it . I am about to "pull the trigger" on one and buy one.

I'll be happier when I can actually get to the range and put some rounds through it!! I have cleaned it and dry fired it a bunch, and the trigger has already smoothed up some.

I'm not a big fan of plastic guns, but this is as good a one as I've ever shot.

I have been looking at one of these, but still think I am gonna get a Beretta PX4 subcompact. I just prefer DA/SA. However, the single stack nature of the Shield is cool..

Happy so far. Price didn't break the bank, and S&W made it available when they said they would, unlike a certain company who's 3.3 model I've been waiting to be released...

    Next on the list:

    - More 7-round mags. 8-round will be the backup/spare.
    - XS Big Dot sights.
    - a fitted holster of sorts for this thing.

Cool , so far on here and other forums I havent heard any negative comments.
I cant wait to get one. I am going against my better judgement by getting a gun this new but like I said I have heard quite a bit good about it. I did get a brand new CZ P-07 Duty back when they first was released and it was a disaster for me and several others. CZ had to send me a whole new gun. CZ just hasnt gotten the "polymer gun" thing perfected I think. But I am like a little boy awaiting for Christmas for this Shield

I have owned a few different single stack 9mms and have shot most everything. The M&P shield is the best of the lot if you want a polymer short reset trigger pistol.

Spent some quality time in the hills today with a Shield I purchased yesterday.

Tried 7 different loads, 100% perfect function and great accuracy....even with the "crappy" Federal Champion that everyone hates around here.

Oh yea......also ran another gen 4 19 thru its paces that I picked up last weekend......it too functioned 100% perfect, even with that "crappy" stuff, just like my wifes gen 4 19 does. Guess I'm just lucky.

The Shield will probably become the new "summer" carry piece, and the Glock 33 will be retired until cooler temps again, like in December.

Mine has been 100% function wise but, I'm not loving the trigger just yet. My POA/POI is just to the left...I'm working on trigger control and such. Not sure if I need to drift my front sight just yet. I've fired 150 rounds, no hiccups, strong ejection, no feeding issues!

:agree:, especially with how the handled the vendors for accessories, the media coverage, the way they brought in a bunch of bloggers, media types/personalities, etc to the range to fire it. The whole launch was great and so far from what Ive heard the gun has matched the hype. Cant wait to shot it.

After a lot of searching and even more luck I found one over the weekend. I have yet to shoot it, but I am extremely satisfied with everything else about it so far. I have carried it the last few days to get a feel for it and compared to the 26 I have been carrying, it's definitely a welcomed addition to the line up. Once it's proven itself on the range and the Crossbreed Supertuck I've ordered for it shows up, I can see this replacing my other guns as a daily carry.
