So want to my LGS yesterday look to see what all the fuss about this Shield was. He had a 9mm and I had to say I liked to feel.
Then he told me I have a 40 coming in tomorrow knowing I like the caliber. So today I picked up a new 40 shield.

Thank you for the picture. Bunch of guys claim to have purchased one but no one could produce an image like yours. Enjoy.

I can produce an image just like that and I don't even have a shield.

Honestly, I can't tell what gun it is in that picture.

Anyway, nice score on the Shield 40. The 40's definitely on my short want list.

Looking forward to hearing reports about how the .40 version shoots. It's a pretty intense caliber when you get to guns this small/light. The PPS and Kahrs are great examples.

Nice pick up. Once they come out with a 357 sig barrel for it, I'll be first in line.

True but we will give him the benefit of the doubt. I asked for a picture on another forum and the ten guys claiming to have one never did post a pic.

Smith is advertising both 9mm and .40 on their website. A little surprised the specs are exactly the same for both. Except round count one less in the .40 S&W. I think I would go with the 9mm if I get one.

Definitely. I believe him fully. I was just kind of poking fun at the bad pic.

My cell phone pics are truly awful. I don't know how some people can take great pics with their phones, but mine on my iPhone 4s look like they were taken with an old school Motorola Razor.

    Ah well.

I can take pictures with my phone but I am not smart enough to transfer them to my computer and upload to the forum. I did it for my avatar but can't get it to work when I am posting to a thread, maybe when my 11 year old gets home he will help me.

Still not the greatest pics but I think you can see these are pic of a real 40 shield.
I was able to handle both the 9 and the 40 and the are both exactly the same.
I can't wait to test it although it will probably be next week.

    Ditto.

The .40 Shield should prove to be one great little pocket rocket.

nice .40 shield, buy I think I'll still prefer the 9mm just caliber preference in carry, shooting ease, and more rounds per mag.
Plus I already have a 9mm shield haha. Can't have both
