Finally got my Lone Wolf barrel in today for my G35, boy does it look and shoot good! First mag I put through it I got a decent 4 inch group, so i'm happy with it. Had my brother use his nice camera to take some pictures of the fire coming out of the ports in low light. I think the pics of the fire looks cool.

Very cool. Do the ports dirty up your front sight at all? How much muzzle flip do you experience now with the ports?

I've got an extended ported 4.16" Storm Lake G27-357
barrel in my gen 3 G27.

The porting doesn't dirty the front sight at all.
I'm very pleased with the reduced muzzle flip.

That's the one thing I don't like about it, that it does make the dot on the front post black and you have to clean it off. But its not that big of a deal, I also only seen this when we went to shoot it at night and i could not see the white dot on my front post. If I was shooting in the day time, probably would not notice it much. As far as the muzzle flip, I love it, it feels like a 9mm. To be honest, I think my moms G19 had more flip then it did. I really like it, worth the money.

Put a thin coat of oil on the front sight. You will be able to shoot 4 or 5 rounds and then the carbon will black the dot. Simply wipe the dot clean for another 4 or 5 shots.

A ported extended barrel like Barth has puts the ports in front of the front sight, thus obviously causing way less soot to get on the front sight than on this G35, with the ports behind the front sight.

A red dot is in the plans for this gun, so i'm not really worried about getting carbon build-up on the front sight. That and shooting in the day time I don't really use the dot on the front post anyways.

The majority of action shooting pros use black front sights.
