I was out and stopped into my local shooting range here in Cincy and while I was checking out the guns, I noticed a gen2 Glock in the used gun area. I realized it was a 19, gen2 and looked brand new. I asked to see it and it looked as if it had not been ever shot. Clerk advised they had original box, original mags and manuel. Inside the sleeve the manuel came in was a receipt when it was originally purchased in Jan 1993. I bought it on the spot brought it home and did a tear down on it and this gun has never been shot at all, nothing inside the gun, no smilies on the barrel, nothing...
Now the question is, do I shoot it or keep it prestine? I am a shooter so I am leaning towards shooting it and not looking back...

I would shoot & enjoy it. With the amount of 19`s around its not likely to ever be a rare piece IMHO

If you have other pistols that you currently use before acquiring this gen 2 G19, run a box or 2 through it (just to function test) then store away. Should you find that you prefer it to your current daily use pistol/s, then make it your new everyday pistol. :cowboy:

Cool! Looks a lot like my G23 of the same year (build date of 1/93, AGT### serial number). At the time way back then was only fired a few times a year for a couple years then mostly sat holstered in a desk drawer for the next 15 years and only taken out on occasion and fired. In the last year I've converted it to 9mm for my wife to shoot when we go to the range. She has a .22 pistol and I'm working her up to other calibers, but she doesn't like the recoil of anything larger than 9mm.

You can sell it to me if you don't shoot it.

Classic! I have one Glock that I've shot once, then Gunny signed it and now it's a safe king. Thankfully I have other Glocks to shoot!

Another vote to shoot it! I have never understood the concept of buying a firearm to not shoot it.

Shoot it. I've never been a collector of guns. Just doesn't make sense to me unless I'm going to flip it later and make money. It wouldn't have been important for to me to keep it anyway if I sold it.
If you keep it in the safe and never shoot it and die one day, then what? You've passed it on to someone as a gift. They will either shoot it, keep it, or sell it in an estate sale. You'll never know.. lol

    Shoot it.

G19 GEN2's are pretty common and come up for sale all the time.

You could build or find a presentation box with a glass top and make it into a shrine. Or you could buy some magazines and ammo and shoot the snot out of the gun.

My question is how much did you pay?
I mean in that condition I'd probably spend more than it's worth
