I would not be surprised if the President aka Commander in Chief pushed an inquiry. I suspect the LtCol will likely retire soon because he will probably not make full bird, after testifying unfavorable against his CIC.

I would not doubt that the CinC is preventing a military inquiry from happening at this point. See how that works?

    I’m not surprised. I tried . . . but I suspect you are deflecting.

Vindman's next assignment should be a weather station igloo in the arctic. :cold:

I've wondered if he will retire too. I don't know the rules/laws. Can an active military person plead the fifth if they are not indicted? He may very well be subpoenaed to appear in a Senate trial.

Also, if active does he get free legal talent for an appearance before the Senate?

IF retired and called to appears, I think he will have to pay for his own attorneys - just like General Flynn was made to do.

I respect his service. But there is something very unlikable about the man.

Well, he does have a solid job offer in Ukraine as a backup.

Military members are guaranteed that right under the 5th Amendment, and we are also subject to the UCMJ.

Active duty and retirees can seek guidance and assistance from JAG, but I do not know the extent of those services. He might be responsible for something because he may not agree with their services.

(I am a veteran, and never had to use JAG services. Maybe, other veterans can add to this post)

I think the guy looks better than I did at 20 years so there is that. He may be in the wrong, I did not hear or see, or read about his testimony so I truly don't know. If the C in C wants he can just pull his security clearance. He is then seriously useless as a Officer and headed out the door.

I don't know anything about this guy's history but I cannot picture him as an infantry battalion commander.

President Trump has one decoration, awarded him by the American public...the Presidency of the United States.
Vindman is a DS asset, along with Eric CIA-R-notsomello. Their handlers ordering them to burn themselves in this traitorous manner displays the desperation of the DS as judgement day approaches with AG Barr.

In his own writings, he states that he was worried that the bipartisan support for Ukraine was in jeopardy. He was worried that Trump would stop funding Ukraine. His allegiance is with Ukraine.

I wonder what his part was during the Obama regime change in Ukraine. I'm sure his hands are dirty. Over 10,000 people have died as a result of the manufactured rebellion. Republicans need to talk about that more often.

What about this guy? He volunteered for the Army and was awarded the Bronze Star.

After spending 20 years in law enforcement, I've learned that being a veteran means squat as far as being a moral, ethical, or law abiding person. One action, as evidenced above, can eliminate a lifetime of exemplary service.

If reports are accurate, this officer should be disciplined for at least one offense under the UCMJ. Or, does the military not hold officers to a higher standard anymore?

I think he will have some answering to do in the future, that dims his advancement to full Colonel more than displeasing the President.
