Ret. U.S. Army Intelligence Officer Tony Shaffer said potential wiretapping by a sitting U.S. president is "Soviet-level wrongdoing."

Lt. Col. Shaffer was a guest Saturday morning on "Fox & Friends Weekend" sharing his thoughts on President Donald Trump's early morning tweets accusing the Obama administration of wiretapping Trump Tower prior to the 2016 election.

Obama, through his spokesman Kevin Lewis, denied such allegations.

Not before you show the proof that the Russians tampered with the election.

Send the flares up, make the democrats cry "prove it!" Then say, ok...kind of like the voter fraud allegations.

Proof is only needed when Liberals are the target.

If Republicans are the target, no proof or even a trial is necessary.. Life in prison within the week.

It's a totally fair system when you think about it.

Alright, all allegations, accusations and alleged scandals take a number and form a single line. You'll each get your turn.

Of all the laws that I want to see enacted, I want more than any other to see a clear and enforceable law making it a felony to use the power entrusted to an employee of the federal government to influence an election. Like the IRS undermined all of the conservative non profits while turning a blind eye to abuses by liberal organizations. Like Obama funneling billions of dollars to leftist organizations. The people involved deserve to be in prison.

What would Obama's motivation be? This seems like the act of a desperate crminal
trying to cover up a crime.....

"Obama’s Conflict Tanked the Clinton E-mail Investigation — As Predicted

    by ANDREW C. MCCARTHY September 26, 2016 4:00 AM @ANDREWCMCCARTHY

Hillary couldn’t be proven guilty without proving the president guilty as well.

    How is this not classified?”

So exclaimed Hillary Clinton’s close aide and confidante, Huma Abedin. The FBI had just shown her an old e-mail exchange, over Clinton’s private account, between the then-secretary of state and a second person, whose name Abedin did not recognize. The FBI then did what the FBI is never supposed to do: The agents informed their interviewee (Abedin) of the identity of the second person. It was the president of the United States, Barack Obama, using a pseudonym to conduct communications over a non-secure e-mail system — something anyone with a high-level security clearance, such as Huma Abedin, would instantly realize was a major breach.

Not for any "non-biased" judge and media. There in lies the problem. There is so much stuff stacking up, that I'm not sure that even the new DOJ can handle it.

If Trump sneezed he'd twitter about it and hold a press conference. Then he'd blame somebody for the conspiracy to put allergens in his air supply. What's to be gained with wiretapping?

Have you noticed how fast Huma is no longer mentioned ... ANYWHERE?! She dropped off the radar faster than a lead balloon. Disappeared. Thankfully she seems to have taken her (ex-) Weiner with her.

I agree -- if the hypocrisy weren't so stomach-churning, the regressive leftist calls for "proof" in the face of accusations would be hilarious.

Asking the Attorney General to request a Special Prosecutor would be the worst thing Trump could do. We are lucky Congress no longer has the authority to initiate that circus.

There are more than a few people in Wisconsin that would like to see that too. Mr Chisolm(Milw. County DA) tore through conservative family homes in quite disgusting fashion.

You might be correct, IDK. I've been advocating for the appointment of a truly independent prosecutor for some time but is there really such a thing? Nobody from "the other side" will ever accept the decision of the AG office as being independent. So where does that leave us? Political opponents get a free pass? There has to be a better answer.
