Next man in.
Me thinks LSU overreacted a bit. Considering the stuff that is tiolerated in the SEC. Then again, the ghost of Penn State in hovering over the NCAA.
WOOOOOOOOOOOO PIG SOOIE!!

He wasn't that good. Alabama exposed him the National Title game.
I respect the fact Les Miles took action against him. It's not like LSU will fall off the map without him. He got invited to the Heisman Trophy presentation and wasn't even the best defensive back on his own team. Claiborne and Reid were better.
Some may forget that he was suspended last season for the same. Miles has integrity and class (unlike Saban).
......and depth at the position.

Integrity comes easier when there is depth.
This is the second star and potential Heisman winner that Miles has dismissed.
I applaud him for holding all his players accountable for their actions. It is the best policy in my opinion.
I have a couple of sources very close to Miles, one since long before he came to LSU. Coach Miles makes promises to parents and he keeps them. If you knew the lengths he went to for Perriloux......but in the end, Ryan left him no choice. It is remarkable to see that he seems to have gotten his life on the right track. I hope Matheiu can do the same.
Well I'll put it this way. Tyrann made all those big plays against mediocre (heck crappy) teams. Nobody in the conference was even remotely good as Alabama and LSU last year. Tyrann wasn't impressive in the two Bama meetings. The media pumped him up because of his nickname. Listening to Brent Musburger during that game crying that Alabama manhandled their pick to win it all and run over us was foiled.
Les Miles it has taken me some time to warm up to him. I have a good deal of respect for him. He wins and loses with class and dignity (unlike a real sore loser like Bobby Petrino). I felt real bad for the guy when his sister was killed in the car wreck last year. He's got good players and they love to play for him.
It's a great time to be an SEC fan and I'll say to you that I hope you continue to run over Awbarn every season. Roll Tide! 21-0
Honey Badger don't care about rules!
Well, lets face it. No one in the country was even remotely as good as LSU and Bama last year. I suspect it will be that way again this year.
In the end, I think Saban out coached Miles last year in both games but most definitely in the BCS.
LSU went 13-0 in the toughest schedule in the country and probably had one of the greatest college football seasons in recent history. With the exception of the 2 Bama games, Mathieu was a standout every game.
See ya in Miami in January
