The Glock 30S is not a new Glock. Even though Glock is trying to sell it as a "new" concept Glock fan's like us have been putting the 36 slide on the 30 frame for years!

So Glock takes the next logical step and actually makes a factory version and gets dumped on for it?

Yeah, I stirred the pot on the Glock facebook page when I posted on there what a severe disappointment the 30s is. A parts gun slapped together so they had something "new." Doesnt conceal better, weight is negligible, and same capacity. They screwed the pooch.

Supposedly it had been an "off the books" option for SIS the past few years and they finally got around to releasing it to the public.

This per one of their regional sales managers the other day when I fondled one.

My G30 saved my life... or rather, helped me save my own life.

    I'm sticking with it.

I've had the 30,30sf and the 36. My favorite definately is the 36. Have both on hand and you can see a considerable difference. Could just be me ;-)

I have always liked the G30 and am very much looking forward to purchasing one in the Gen4 version.
The G30S, to me at least, doesn't seem all that interesting.

What I could really like would be a G36 but with a 7 or 8+1 capacity but staying roughly the same size(physically impossible, I know.)
