We were hunting @ Camp Shelby in Hattiesburg Ms and this walked out between me and Bradley...lol he was not paying attention and I was...gave his a chance to take him but he never saw the buck so when he started to move off I took him
Teach his but to pay attention
Oh yeah, was taken with a Savage 110-E 30-06/ synthetic stocked, topped with a Simmons Atec 3x9x50 and using Remington Express Cor-lokt 150 grn bullet [IMG]

    Very nice buck!

... too bad it had to be a gun kill instead of a bow kill though. ;)

    I hope I'm miss-understanding you.

The way I'm reading your post the deer was between you and Bradley (whom I assume is the young man in the photo) when it began to step off (which sounds like it was still between you) you shot the deer.

A 30-06 easily penetrates a deer and we should never take a shot at one with a person standing on the other side of the deer.

Give the man a break. I think we all know that he means the buck was in "line-of-sight" for both parties. I don't even know the man and I KNOW he never put his son in jeopardy!
