Does anyone have any experience with one of these? I want the loader with it to haul gravel and was wondering how well they hold up. Thanks

I believe they are made by Yanmar which is not necessarily bad. It's not necessarily good either. HH

good little tractor made here in the USA with a Yanmar commercial rated diesel direct injection, a good unit with strong Hydro , the FELs are solid as are the two stage snow blowers.

a non biased guy I trust said this about the loader.
H120 loader: a must have. We were considering smaller tractors and I didn't think I really had need of a loader. When we decided a 1023E or 1025R might be worthwhile for us we were still not sure a loader would be worthwhile. I found many compelling arguments for it and also thought it would work well for snow removal. If I knew then how valuable I would find it now, I would be laughing at myself for debating about it. Now, I can't imagine owning a tractor without a loader. On and off are super easy -- literally two minutes.

I have a Kubota BX25D-1. Love it. The JD 1-Series are solid, but larger than my Kubota and when I was buying it cost around $5k more, similarly equipped.

If you want to go all the way down the rabbit hole, there are some very good SCUT forums. Tractorbynet, mytractorforum, orangetractortalk, and greentractortalk will keep you busy for as long as you care to read.

If you decide you don’t need to have the tractor, they hold their value very well.

Thanks guys. I was leery about the 18,000 + price tag on these ( with mower and bucket). I wondered how well they held up. I have 2 local dealers that I have been in contact with for a couple weeks. Only one of them have one.... the other does not. They said that that tractor is hard to keep. Even the used ones are hard to find and when the do find them, they’re gone in a day or two.

I did get a call last night to see if I was interested in the 1026 model. Basically the same thing but a 2012 for 13,000. I was seriously thinking about that one and it only has 370 hours on it. We shall see :)

I have a BX2370. It was several thousand cheaper than the 1025r when i was pricing them. Either tractor is a solid option.

Check tractor time with Tim on YouTube. He has lots of videos on the 1025R and other accessories that can go on it.

370 on that is basically new, ,my345 has the Kawi gas engine and 750 hrs still runs like new that 1026 is a beast

Yanmar makes very good commercial stuff no idea how good what they build for JD is. JD is happy to jack up the price and make a bunch of expensive JD specific parts. I would rather have a Yanmar branded but there is no dealer network for them.

Well, I put a deposit down on the 1026 and it will take 7-10 days to get to my local store. It was about 100 miles away and they will deliver it to my local store. I don’t have the time to drive to look at it. If I don’t like it they will refund my deposit and I’m only out about 25 miles of driving. And they will deliver it to my home for free.

Thanks for the reply’s guys. I really hope the Yanmar engine lives up to its name. Like I said, the engine only has 370 hours on it so it should last a long time ( fingers crossed).

    Thanks again!

the only thing Yanmar makes is the diesel engine, those tractors are made in GA right here in the USA Yanmar and JD parted company in 2007-8 if memory serves me they did have a good relationship for years with the small utility tractors.

Yanmar and John Deere are still together. Maybe they had a break but I've been looking at tractors in the 30-50hp range. The Deere's there all run yanmar engines.

they only buy engines, they are not together anymore, in the early 2000-2007 they were making the JD sub compact tractors together , now JD only buys the engines you won't find any other Japanese parts in them. They also buy Kawasaki and Kohler engines but they are not "together".

Guy I work with just got a new one, likes the Yanmar engine. He got zero % financing, so yeah.
Gotta get a snowblower, mower deck and loader for max bonus points.
Sadly I live in city with tiny lot........

I am looking to purchase the JD 25 hp 1025R 4WD tractor. It has financing that is $209 per month with 0% for 84 months and 10% down. It includes the loader, rotary cutter, box blade, all fees and insurance for the 84 months, no cost 6 year powertrain warranty. For $7 a month more you can upgrade to the 54 inch auto-connect drive over mower deck or for $30 a month more you can add a 16 ft trailer.

Well I finally got it. It’s awesome compared to what I’m used to. It’s got some paint scrapes and such and with only 370 hrs on it the savings was worth it over a new one . Now I don’t have to manually shovel gravel to take down to the pier in a wheelbarrow or Shovel mulch every year. :dancingbanana:
