A single tear fell... only because I was reminded of my S&W Tactical that I lost at a friends house... I had picked it up at AutoZone for like $14 and it was a decent piece that I was surprised to enjoy so much. I do and have owned many Knives throughout my life... but nothing seems to be able to last on my belt for more than 10 years... Me losing one is NOT normal I lost my tactical in the water.

I'm now looking for another Knife... something I can at least wear on my belt at work. Not looking to spend more than $50... but I will if lots of people recommend something worth it.

Pictures would be great!! ... but not needed I can search for them myself.

    Thanks Everyone!!

Take a look at Spyderco's and Kershaw's. Some models can be had for ~ $50 and are good quality knives.

For Spyderco, check out the Endura 4, Delica 4, Tenacious and Persistence. For Kershaw, check out the Skyline, Leek, and Scallion.

Thanks guys! I'm looking at some right now... OMG I just saw a Zero Tolerance 0301 Ranger... Ouch $250 but thats something I'd get myself for X-MAS.

I think for now I might go with the Kershaw... I'll still be looking around at different manuf/models because I'm not going to order until around April until my mind is made up... unless I see something that makes me go :dancing: like that ZT ranger but around $50-$125.

Walmart has about a half dozen Kershaw models. They have the flipper assisted opening. Mine was $40. I got the OD-1 and it's a great knife. Their website has quite a few more models which you can order site to store. I used site to store last week and my order was there within 2 days when it was projected to be there in like a week. http://www.walmart.com/search/searc...rch_query=kershaw&Find.x=0&Find.y=0&Find=Find

SOG makes some nice knives. I've bought mine off amazon for a good amount less than MSRP.

I picked up a Kershaw Junkyard Dawg II under 50$ and there's the occasional steal deal from knife forum dealers. sturdy, big, solid.

more of an EDC is the CRKT M16-13Z, disposable 30$ range knife, fast opener, useful.

The junkard dawg is big, but it grows on you.

I've got 4 of the CRKT's. they work ok. :)

+ 10000000 on the Kershaws. I own 5, and they are fantastic knives. Their service is amazing if you ever have any issues or even need a good sharpening. They hold an edge very well. I have not owned many good knives, but the Kershaws are by far the best i have ever owned. The leeks are a great pocket knife.

At the $50 range, Spyderco, Kershaw, and CRKT (my personal preference on low-end knives) are all okay knives. I'm fond of Emerson's myself, but they start at $100 and go up from there.

Spyderco Native from Wal-Mart if you can find one. I think they run about $35.

Kershaw and Spyderco are about your best bet for value and top notch quality. Also check out the Buck Vantage Pro.

I collect knives, and own models from over twenty manufacturers. I'm by no means an expert. I just love knives. For every day carry I usually carry Spyderco. For when I need an inexpensive, tough knive that I can beat up and not worry about, I carry Cold Steel. When I can't carry a gun and feel like I need a tactical blade, I carry an assisted opening SOG. I collect, but I can't bring myself to carry a $100+ knife (my Benchmades, Emersons etc). I'd be too upset if I lost one of them.
