Two questions:
1) Looking @ the G20SF Gen 3 to be exact but do they make one in Full FDE?
2) Is there any truth to reliability issues with the G20 Gen4???
I know the Gen 4 comes in full FDE but I've read that gen 4's have reliability issues with less than hot ammo.

Thanks
Frank

I beleieve pretty much all Gen4s initially had issues due to the spring initially...I believe has since been corrected.

Never buy a brand new model that has 1st come out. Always wait a bit for the quirks to present and be fixed...buy now I think the Gen4s are good

If you want less than hot, get a Glock that shoots 40 S&W........or shoot the hot stuff in the Gen 4 G20. RSA's are not 'one size fits all' if you want your gun to last a while.

The only reason for the G20 is for a little less concern when walking around in the forest behind my house. We have Black Bear hanging around and I don't want to end up between her and the cubs and only have a 9mm.

Some warm .40 S&W is more stout for bear than some people give credit. At any rate, if you wanted a G40 and wanted to shoot milder ammo, you could always put a lower power RSA in it (if someone has it available). I haven't read much about the G40 being unreliable with low power ammo, but it is reasonable to believe it wouldn't run well on it, out of the box. I'm kinda of a frame batter person where I don't want it to happen, and honestly, shooting +P ammo out of my Glocks only 'causes some mild bottoming. I'm frankly impressed with how well the out of the box Glocks handle warmer loads without changing RSA's. Going milder than normal pressure stuff may cause unreliability, but I'd prefer the other way around.

Check into lower power RSA's for the G40 and you could have a ton of gun all in one. ;)

I heard the exact opposite....it was the really hot stuff they had trouble with. My thing was though if it's the recoil spring can't you just put a gen 3 spring in it if you needed a heavier one? for whatever reason I remember somewhere something saying you could put a 3g spring in a 4g but not the other way around.
