We all have seen the data where the 5.56 will fragment at a certain velocity. I want to know how JSP perform at distance. At what distance does a JSP just poke holes through someone.

    Has anyone done these tests?

LE223T3 has been known to reliably expand at 100 yards when fired from an 11.5" barrel. From a 20" barrel, it normally leaves at around 2800fps or so. From an 11.5, at 100 yards, I would bet it was moving around 21-2300fps. LE223T3 is loaded with the 62gr TBBC bullet.

Most manufacturers claim reliable expansion down to about 1900-2100fps or so.

Ergo, out to about 300-350 yards, you should be getting pretty good/reliable expansion. After that, it depends on the load you are using.
