So helping clean out my grandmother-in-laws basement, before she puts her house on the market, I came across an old 5 gallon paint bucket. Inside the bucket were 7 cans of smokeless powder and a large paper bag. Inside this bag was and old leather holster, a red plastic box containing a Luger and a loose 22cal western style revolver. Her husband was a Korea War vet and an avid gun collector, sadly he died in 2000 . I opened the holster to reveal a Sistema Colt mod 1927(according to the registration card, also in the bag, it was registered to him in April 1970)! This room was his workroom containing his bench and reloading gear. Nobody goes into this room, except my wife, who has a computer setup in there for when she visits. So this bucket has been sealed up for at least 10 years. My Grandmother just gave me the Sistema and the revolver to my wife, the Luger which she was taught to shoot on is being contested by my wife and her uncle (who is a Catholic priest) so we'll see about that one. She also gave me all the reloading gear! here are some pics of my new 1911 from 1945!
