Yall forgive me if this has been beat into the ground, but my search-Fu isn't always the best.

I'd like to carry a g26 but I don't shoot them well. I shoot my g19 very well though. What I'm envisioning is a frame/grip the size of a g26 but a barrel and slide assembly the size of a g19. Obviously this translates to other calibers as well. Baby grip, midsized top.
My reasoning is that for my concealed carry, the barrel/slide length doesn't really matter (iwb).
In abscence of this, does anyone cut down midsized grips to fit the baby sized mags? Couldn't be that hard....

Am I way off base? Surely I'm not the first to have thought of this.

No problem! Contact my friends Frank Duren customglock@netzero.com or Don Ellis theglockguy@hotmail.com they will be happy to chop your grip to accept G26 mags.
    I actually have a G17 chopped to accept G26 mags. Feels like a sub-compact "L" series...

    Thanks for the info!
Got pics of the chopped 17? Thinking a "chopped" 19 would fit the bill for my personal carry tastes.
