LWD received a few complaints regarding inadvertent/easy magazine release with the early TW frames. We took this into consideration and actually redesigned the MR spring cavity to produce greater resistance. If you desire more resistance, you can duplicate this modification by adding material in the spring grove.
We also received a few requests for standard mag release buttons. We were able to grind away a portion of the round mag release (supplied) and duplicate the factory release. Its not pretty but it works. I am sure we will develop a better looking one in the near future

I was in AK all last week. Before I left I had the opportunity to hold the latest rapid prototype 19 frame. I can tell you we are basically ready to start the molds on this project. I would safely guess the frame to be available by SHOT this January. Once this is put to bed we will start development of the 20/21 frame

I've been having this problem with mine... I wasn't sure why but the mag release just releases super easy, and it almost feels like the magazines don't click in very well...
What kind of "material" do I add to the spring groove?

No pics of the process. The pic is 5 posts up. Keep in mind it's not finished. I just mess with it a little at a time. It still has the serrations from the old release still present. When I finish it, it will be lots smoother looking. This also eliminated the magazine being released when the pistol is laid on it's side.
The new TW frames have an improved spring channel. 762minigun basically did the same thing we now offer. If the customers wants a standard MR we give him one like that.

JR,
I check on this thread every few months, and am wondering. When you produce a 19 frame, will you also be producing a 23 frame? I'm not an 9mm fan.
Thanks,
Todd
Is there any reason to believe that the eventual G23 Timberwolf frame will have trouble with FTF with a light attached (like my current gen 3 G23 does with a TLR-1 attached)?
