    I love it.

    Brutal, uncompromising.

The characters aren't all nice, clean and proper. Patrick Stewart's portrayal of Professor X was phenomenal.

The wolverinette girl was something else though. I totally bought her feral expressions.

If I understand it right, she is a female clone of Wolverine's DNA, right?

I think so. Not a natural mutant but artificially created like Deadpool.

Reviews are really hitting up the child actor.

She did a heck of a job switching her facial expressions from animalistic to an innocent child.

Is it based on a true story?

The girl was pretty good. I thought they failed a bit not having the other kids better able to defend themselves. Not my genre but my kids liked it.

I am seeing it this week, but I heard it was going to be loosely based on the 'Old Man Logan' story from the comics, which was an extremely violent story.

I liked it but it was slower than the other movies. I think it was intended to tell more of the story behind the characters. If you haven't seen it, make sure you don't drink too much before going in. It is long and you might miss some of the references.

I know what you mean. When I drink too much, I pass out. ;-)

I thought it was decent. Nice to see another R rated comic book movie, though it did drag on a bit at times. Did have a couple problems though. Would it have killed them to add 1 minute to a 2 hour 15 minute movie to explain a little backstory of what happened between the previous movies and this one? And why does the technology in 2029 seem to not have advanced past what we have now, and less advanced than previous X-Men movies?

Just got back from it, very well written and acted movie. I think the technology took a back seat. It wasn't that it didn't exist, just that it wasn't a focus of this movie. In part it reminded me of the time travel movie with Bruce Willis. The future, but an economically depressed time.

You have to remember they were killing the kids in the facility because they wouldn't fight.

Wasn't referring to that but I'll refrain from expanding because it would be too spoilerish.

On the tech thing expressed, as in 'The Fifth Element, it always takes me by surprise when , in a future with flying cars, busses, restaurants, hell entire cities floating above distant planets, trains that climb buildings at incredible speeds, conveniences only available in the future.....
They continue to shoot each other with bullets and kill with rather ordinary bombs.

    Some things never change.

    So fake. lol

Went to see it tonight at the local theater that also serves craft beer. The seating chart at ticket sales showed more seats already sold than I care to share a theater with, and my preferred seats were taken/crowded, so I'll give it another couple of days. :)

Just got back myself from it, being a comic fan I was very happy with the movie. The portrayal of X23 was on point. And Old man Logan was good too.
