At about 5:28 p.m. Thursday, police stopped William Lloyd, 29, on Winnikee Avenue for allegedly speeding, talking on a cell phone and playing loud music, police said. Officers learned his license was suspended and they saw a handgun in his car.

The gun had been reported stolen from a previous burglary, said city police Detective Sgt. Walt Horton. Police charged Lloyd with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property.

LLoyd was also charged with misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation, resisting arrest and unlicensed operation, and several vehicle and traffic violations.

He was also charged under a city ordinance for playing loud music, Horton said.

Lloyd was arraigned Friday in city court and sent to Dutchess County Jail. He was held without bail. He is due back in court Tuesday.

I heard he also had a sign on the car that said,"carrying stolen merchandise". Lucky for the rest of us, he's helping solve some of the problems he created. One for the dumb crook file.

Sources say he'll be out on a $100.00 bond and back in your neighborhood within the week. His parole officer has a HUGE caseload, so he won't be able to follow-up on the offender like he should.

He will end up shooting someone or crashing into someone within the month.

You need an endorsement on your license for aggravated operation?
That must cause you insurance rates to go up some.

    Laugh not.

Before the local indoor range prohibted cell phones and cameras on the firing line, there was one feller that grabbed his phone (how he hear it, I don't know) off his belt like he was drawing on Wyatt Earp ... remove his ear muffs, put the danged think to his ear and then began to pace behind the line ... whilst holding a loaded pistol.

Feller gave us all a real hard look for daring to fire our pistols while he was taking a phone call.

We all stopped firing, at first, from outright astonishment that evolved to looking for cover.

Had I know this feller was so danged important that we must all cease fire and allow him to conduct his very critical business, I would have brought the .44 Magnums. :cowboy:
