We have dogwood and cherry trees blooming. The pollen has been bad as well. It's been in the low 80's here for the past week or so.

everything is fully bloomed here. by the first official day of spring, everything here is pretty well fully green and leaf-ed up, it just fills out more and pollen gets worse as time goes on. march is the big transition month here. blink and you'll miss it, but the whole place changes in 30 short days.

In about a week here the confederate jasmine is fixing to start blooming. this is one of my favorites on earth, and marks the start of summer on my personal calendar. about the time that stuff is done, about mid may, we are in the thick of it until well into october.

We have a lot of Bradford Pear trees down here. You can always smell when they’re in bloom, smells like dirty gym socks! But they dropped their blooms 3 weeks ago.

Well, spring kind of passed us by and we went straight into summer (at least for a few days) Here is the little Bleeding Heart today (sprouting on original post in this thread). I gotta get the poor little thing some friends real soon.
Water surface temp 63 degrees now, and bass have moved in shallow.

When I was still working, if I spotted one on the highway I called Mrs N and told her winter was over.

We will be in the 100-108 degree range next week and that will be the new norm for the next 4 months. Here we go.
