Things moving along nicely, this is after about four and a half days labor on it. I'm hoping by the end of next week to have the electrician out to rough in the wiring for the lighting and outlets. I was going to go with an electric heater suspended from a ceiling corner but a friend suggested using a propane one so I'm looking into that option. To my untrained eye everything looks square and proper.

Dunno what electricity costs in your area but a split system might be the way to go.

Looks pretty awesome. I’d love to have something like that someday.

I've been wanting to do this for several years but with a two bay unit. After dad passed and I inherited his pickup I realized I'd soon have that filled up so I looked at some three bay garages and decided if I'm going to do it I'd rather have it done once then have to maybe build another structure later on.

If things go well, next year I'll have a six inch slab put in the east 1/3 of the machine shed and put in a hoist. I was under the '56 today removing bad brake lines and came to the conclusion I'm too old and fat to be rolling around under a car with crap falling into my eyes and not being able to get enough torque on stuff I need to remove or tighten.

Curious if you looked into the cost differences between framed, metal and block?

Plan is both Silverados (the main reason it's 30 ft deep) and an extra bay for whatever else like lawn mowers and yard equipment. Of course if I'm fortunate enough to be able to get another toy then I'll have the space. I'm planning a workbench maybe 12 to 14 ft long, getting some new tools and a decent air compressor.

I've got enough cool posters and things to hang on the walls to get a good start on a decent man cave. I'll finally have a place to put my collection of 1/18 scale die cast muscle cars on some solid shelves. I'm getting more excited about it the further along it gets.

Nicely done. #envious. I have four cars and a bike with a three car garage at Casa GVIFlyer. Wifey's space for her car is unreasonably sacrosanct, so I am left to shuttle cars back and forth to my storage area. ;)

I decided two bays but 8' by 10' doors. The plans were they were tight to a double studs either side of 36" door. Of course there is almost 2 FEET between service door, garage doors. So not a lot of room for cabinets against walls. (Already bought)
Watch them every second. In hindsight I should have stopped them, made them tear it all up.
It was to be a completely clear path between car, truck with plenty of room for doors... Instead there is stuff parked between them you have to slide around, move to get in rear doors.
3-4' path or @7' area with stuff set down.

I have a dream for a cave like this someday and have the same concerns so my dream cave has a pit which doubles as a tornado shelter! :wavey:

If you were in my climate you would be adding gable fans on one end and shudders on the other! Anything for a breeze down here.

Looks great! You will soon be enjoying the new parking and storage.

Very nice! Are the workers Quakers? They are known for their shed and garage builds, in a very short period of time.
