Thanks I sent a message also. I will send another one tomorrow and the next day.
I hope everyone else will send a new message everyday until there is a vote if there is a vote.
Remember they banned firearms from airlines. That paved the way for Bin Laden to kill thousands of young Americans who jumped to their death or burned alive. Remind your legislators of that and the Gun Free Zones that were the next killing fields our legislators voted for.

Done! I sent him the same thing i sent to all of my reps.

    Dear [Recipient Name]:
I am writing to urge you to resist ANY attempt by gun control advocates to further restrict the 2nd Amendment rights of law abiding American citizens. As you may or may not know, previous assault weapon bans have largely proven to be ineffective to reduce crime or reduce mass shootings. As a concerned, freedom loving American I feel that any such bans will simply lead to further firearms restrictions until all firearms are banned.

I support the 2nd Amendment and will not in any way support ANY candidate that infringes on my 2nd Amendment rights. I will also ACTIVELY campaign against ANY incumbent, regardless of party, that does not defend the 2nd Amendment.

I urge you again; PLEASE do not support ANY new assault weapons ban or ban that restricts magazine capacity, firearm types, firearm characteristics, etc. Thank you for your time and consideration.

    Sincerely,
    [Your Name]

I included these facts into my message to the Speaker
    RJ

In 2005, the number of murders committed with a rifle was 445, while the number of murders committed with hammers and clubs was 605. In 2006, the number of murders committed with a rifle was 438, while the number of murders committed with hammers and clubs was 618.

And so the list goes, with the actual numbers changing some what from year to year, yet the fact that more people are killed with blunt objects each year remains constant.

For example, in 2011, there was 323 murders committed with a rifle but 496 murders committed with hammers and clubs.

According to the FBI, nearly twice as many people are killed by hands and fists each year than are killed by murderers who use rifles.

The bottom line: A rifle ban is as illogical as it is unconstitutional. We face far greater danger from individuals armed with carpenters' tools and a caveman's stick.

And it seems fairly obvious that if more people had a gun, less people would be inclined to try to hit them in the head with a hammer.

Good luck! I wouldn't hold my breath though.

The guy publicly blew off fellow GOP House members no less, from New Jersey and New York, just a few days ago, on the steps of Capitol Hill..

This tread needs to be kept active

Vice President Joe Biden “guaranteed” that President Barack Obama will pass sweeping gun control legislation by the end of January, according to Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino.

“He said, ‘Tommy, I guarantee you, we’ll get it done by the end of January,’” Menino reportedly said at City Hall on Thursday. “They’re going to get it done.”
