I'm pretty liberal with my "like" button clicks as it seems I have an infinite number of them to give away. What if the amount of "Likes" were limited somehow? You only have as many to give away as you have in your profile. Would you be more hesitant to give them away? How about if you could "bribe" the mods with say 1,000 likes to keep from getting banned, like a "Get Out Of Jail" card? Think it would make things a lot more interesting around here and give some more meaning to getting a post that really deserves a "like". I also think it would keep things more civil, but that may lead to some bad brown-nosing maybe. Please "like" this post if you like the idea.
I thought about that idea, but figure it would be like the Dems ganging up on wealthy people. May work if hitting the "dislike" button costs the clicker 10 "likes" from their own stash.
Doesn't matter so much on VB forums, but on other social media likes are a big deal and worth money. I want my 1/10 of a cent!
Come on now..there should be some button for stuff you really, really like...maybe an unlimited "Like" button where you can give your whole stash for an exceptionally good post. And automatic loss of one "Like" for each spelling errer.
I very rarely give likes and don't care if I get any. Normally I have something to reply and just do it
It's only been a few years that GT has had a button I think. I hand them out like candy also but if it went away I would just go back to quoting and putting "this" or this guy under it.
Yeah, I was gone for a couple years and when I came back I saw all these newbs with a whole lot of likes and I was jealous. But then I think how many Okie would have had while he was here. Think he's be the richest Glock-Talker of all time.
Well that's a nice idea, and simple too. I will give you 100 Likes from my own personel stash of likes. They are good for all things Internet, but they are virtual and invisible. Sayonara.
