I'm going to go out on a limb and say.... hard chrome?
I'd do it... but unfortunately between AR builds and the holidays, I'm broke as a joke.

I'd jump on it, Sigs are really well built for the money. I'm considering one of the Extremes for another railed gun.
Hardchrome a gun? Who? Me?
It's a good deal, but I'd save a little more and buy a MC Operator.
I have a Sig Tac-Ops with a threaded barrel and I have not had any issues except one in the first few mags with a Ranger T not completely going into battery. Since then I've gone approx. 1500 rds suppressed and un-suppressed without issue. I got mine for $864 and love it. Take it for what it's worth, just more info for the thread.
Your friends experiences with their "train wreck" pistols could be distressing for someone considering a purchase. Fortunately, I've had much better experiences with these Sig's(P220, 1911R, P226); they've all performed flawlessly and just as reliably as the G17 and G23.
Sig 1911's are good quality pistols for their price range and you get a lot of gun. You're friend's experience is just that, theirs...
Went by today and got them down to $775. I'm very tempted. Box, papers, (4) 8rd Metalform mags and gun may have had 50 rounds through it. The original owner bought it there when they didn't have the model he wanted. A week or two after he bought the Tac Ops, the model he was wanting came in. He traded it back to the same store.
In a second, nice firearm!
If it's still there tomorrow...
I may look for a stainless railed Sig,..........soon.
That is pretty sharp.
It is a good looking gun.
Went ahead and picked it up today.
Sweet,.......does it have a date with Chris?
If I find a good deal on a carbon steel one,.......it WILL happen!
This one might have had 50-100 rounds through it and came with box, paperwork and (4) 8rd mags for $775. I'm happy with it.
