I have some sunken lighting fixtures. Because of the way they were done, the light only shines down directly below the light. I want more spread.

Does anyone make an extender of sorts to allow me to put in a normal bulb and get more spread?

BTW, This is in a garage, so I am not looking for something pretty, I want to put a couple 250+ watt bulb in and light the place up.

    Thanks

There is a thing that you screw into the light socket that allows you to have an electrical plug-in with a chain switch and then screw a light bulb into the bottom. I dont know if it would handle 2) 250 watt bulbs though.

Best I recall it would give you 3 inches of added length.

Go to your local hardware store and ask for a socket extender

    Thank you

BTW, the guy at lowes looked at me like I was nuts when I asked him for this.

    Thanks.
