Liability issue with CC for churches?

901 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  southernreign
Well, I was asked by a board member of my church today if I would be willing to be a 'greeter' for are church. This guy knows I CC, and CC himself but neither of us do it in church. He had ask if I knew what would be involved in 'allowing' certain people to CC into church and if their was special added liabilty to the church if someone got hurt while someone was CC? Whether written permission was needed or not and if they needed to change their insurance policy etc. Anyone do any leg work on this, have any info or advice that would be helpful would be HIGHLY appreciated.

NC has no laws that address church carry specifically.

The only gotcha is when the church has an educational entity. Any preschool, etc will make it off limits to carry in the church or church grounds at any time. If there isn't any educational activities and the church is not posted, you're good to go.

No special permission is necessary and no additional insurance is needed unless you are filling the position of armed security and that's a whole new ball game.

It's your call if you discuss this with the pastor prior to carrying but there's no law that says you have to.

Good reason to choose a small church. Thank you.
