One of our LGSs' was robbed about a week ago and is finally open again. Stopped in there today to congratulate them on being open again and had to cry and leave, after some obligatory firearm fondling. They had a beautiful DW Heritage and an absolutely magnificent Springfield Long slide. Just under $1300 for the DW and just over $1000 for the Springer. You may find my kids listed in the classifieds here soon.:whistling:

On a side note, the robbers were caught in Nevada and will hopefully spend many, many un-happy years in adjoining cells contemplating the error of their ways.

    $1,300 for a Heritage? Isn't that a tad high?

Don't know what the going rate is, but that is one clean 1911. To much or not, I believe if I had the money, I'd have to go for it.

I saw a V-bob at one of the lgs around here for close to $1,500.. so I guess that is kinda close for the Heritage..

I could be wrong, but I thought the DW line went sort of like this...

    Heritage $1,100
    CCO $1,300
    CBOB $1,300
    Guardian $1,400
    VBOB $1,400
    Valor $1,400
    Valor (DutyCoat) $1,800

That said, the Heritage is a hell of a nice looking gun. All business. DW builds a great gun for sure. My only beef is the same with the EMP...for $1,100, the FS should be done.

:whistling: I heard from a congressman paying your bills is over rated so maybe getting the gun would not be all bad. :tongueout:

    add
    VBOB duty coated $1800

The Heritage is a stripped down version of the Valor. So no FSC and NS. So add those and you have the Valor.

No offense Paul, But you are about $100.00 short on your list for OTD pricing around here in N.C. So I guess 1300.00 is still high, but not too far out of line for me locally. The other problem is supply v.s. demand.
I waited 7-8 months for a Black Valor!! Good luck finding a Valor or Heritage around here!! P.S. I agree about the Heritage. Awesome gun!! My favorite ranger for everyday blasting. Cheers!!

No way I would pay $1300 for a Heritage. That is used Baer territory.

I have an '09 Heritage, and it is ok; shoots well but the GS fitting is terrible (ok, maybe "fitting" is the wrong word...). I paid $900 new and wouldn't do it again knowing what I know now.

Really???? I know, I just have an awesome LGS here and support them all I can. I also an kind of "old school" and like to touch and feel before I buy. I don't mind paying a little extra to be able to rack the slide prior to shelling out the frogskins..... TEHO

I'd just about drive across the border to get that alongside.

......if it was not to far into ID!

I'm that way with certain purchases, but not all.

If it weren't for sites like Gunbroker, I wouldn't have found some of the guns I did.

    BINGO.

I'm all for supporting my LGS...when they aren't trying to lube me up first. In that case...I'm all for supporting my local FFL.

We don't buy guns on the internet. Love handling them 1st. But we don't have anything special or custom. Then a bunch of the internet sites are within a 30 min. drive.

I never bought one online and I will admit I am not 100% comfortable doing so. However, GA and BG are nice to look at IMO. Many shops around my neck of the woods sell there as well and you can filter the search down to those sellers closer to you. You can find a good deal and check it out in person.
