    Another thread got me to thinking about how I grip a pistol. I've taken some pretty basic informal instruction from competent shooters. I use the two handed thumbs forward grip and a weaver stance. What the hell is the proper name for the grip I use? My brain is vapor locking for some reason and it's driving me insane to remember what the name of this grip is.

    Yeah, that's the grip I have been using for going on 5 years now. I actually posted that same Todd Jarrett video in the other thread. That's what got me thinking about it. For some reason, I was thinking it had some other actual name other than "thumbs forward". The actual name of the grip is what I was looking for.

    That is the proper grip...I've used it all my life. Paired with the isosceles stance like he uses, it's deadly. I used to use that grip with Weaver/Modified Weaver and switched over to isosceles, and my accuracy went up big time.
