lol, we've been there! After years of being poured upon in our tent, we bought our camper - and it literally did not rain that whole first summer of camping.

When we "finally" got a rainstorm, it was a gollywhomper of a downpour, and was actually fun in our camper!

Well... our last camping trip I didn't actually get any pictures of the camper or campsite / campground. But... we were at the Reading Pennsylvania WWII weekend! What a blast!
So, a couple pics. PBY Catalina, one of my favorite planes (the other is the P40 Warhawk), and YES! a bicycle with a rifle scabbard!:

I didn't get too many good ones from my last trip out to Big Bend. We did a couple of nights backpacking, went up up to Emory Peak. Hung around Terlingua for a day and night to recover. Awesome trip.

Terlingua at sunset - looking through an airbnb old 67 Airstream trailer window.

More interesting art in Terlingua - girl that owned this art gallery was pretty cute. 20190203_100250.jpg

This past weekend we went to a 3 day barbeque get together. I bought an outdoor shower tent - set it up on the backside of my camper, to use the outdoor shower nozzle. Worked great! We had a water supply, so people were able to shower all they wanted with hot water without going into the camper... lol, which in this case the outdoor shower was actually larger than my camper's shower!

We upgraded from a 2002 pop up to a 2019 35 foot bunk house camper that sleeps 10. I could only convince my wife to go if it had a shower and toilet.

The pop up had an outdoor shower with a 6 gallon water heater and had a travel toilet that I would dump after using it for a couple of days.

Pop up was a step up from tent camping which I only got to do as a family once before she said never again. I had done plenty of tent camping as a kid growing up.

Our new camper has tv with satellite, wifi for the kids, slide out for the living room, as or electric water heater, same with fridge, same with ac and heat, everything youd need at home she has it.

We can go and do family stuff so it's a cheap price to pay I guess.

Naa it doesn’t tow bad. I’ve actually had it in one place for two seasons. I’ve only shot two deer out of it but also several coyotes and foxes!

Here’s my camp setup , I don’t care much for the pack but it is what it is. A 5.11 Rush 72 with a surplus modular sleep system on the bottom , a one man military TCOP tent in the brown bag on the outside with a sleep pad. I also have a 100% wool queen size blanket on the inside with water bottles , cookware , fire making kit , ESSE 5 knife , and some other odds and ends things that I like to take. Not as nice as some of the RV’s and campers but it’s fun to me. Next time I go out I’ll take pictures of everything setup.

Very cool way to camp! When I was a younger man before marriage that’s how I camped as well! Now you’d have to get a crane back in the woods to get me up after sleeping a night on that little pad!

I just passed on a beautiful red fox. It’s the last day I’ll be able to hunt deer here, it’s muzzleloader season. I only have one shot because I forgot my speedloaders in the truck! Savin the one shot for a deer hopefully!

I’m 31 and married myself , I don’t get to go as much as I’d like but I’m going to get back into it. I’m going to a survival class by Dave Canterbury in the spring. Sleeping on the pad isn’t the most comfortable I will agree. I’m planning a few day trip on foot while I’m off work over the holiday break. I’m not going to take any food or water. Just what I can fit in my pack , my Glock 19 and 10-22.
