Mrs Sig and I love to camp but we like to do it with a little less roughing it than some! I'd like to see how the members here set up camp! Here's some pics of our setup.

We tow a trailer for our motorcycle and set up camp in an area and take a lot of day trips on the bike! We've been up and down the east coast and really enjoy the "roughing it" style of camping!

I would love to see everyone's camping rigs and maybe some stories about your favorite camping expieriences!

We (son and I) have not used our camper for hunting... yet. We've hunted out of a friends cabin in Vermont. This picture is from 4 (maybe 5 now) years ago. Son and I were returning from spending a few hours in the woods. When we walked into the cabin, we ran into a wonderful smell - friend's wife had left some pancakes and sausages for us, on a plate on the corner of the wood stove to keep warm. Best late breakfast I think I've ever had!

That's a great looking camp! Looks like there would be some fantastic hunting oppurtunities around there!

It is a great place, and not that far away being in southern Vermont. But.... being in southern Vermont, the woods are busy during hunting season. Hunters are idiots if they go in the woods without wearing orange. On the plus side, one season my son dragged me early (dark) one morning the long way around to a spot to setup. When sun came up, it was like Grand Central Station... deer all over the place! We didn't get a shot off, as the one possible shooter buck came and went before we realized it. I figured out what had happened - because we got to the spot the long way through the woods instead of using logging roads, all the hunters using logging roads for easy access actually drove the deer to us. So, busy woods are not great, but sometimes have an upside!

My friend who owns the cabin has gotten deer, turkey, and pheasant hunting from it.

Blaze orange is a very good idea when hunting on or near public lands! Great story of a hunting adventure you and your son got to share together!

Our cabin in the woods an hour from home. Not much into campers and people so this works great!

I guess I literally only have one picture of tent setup. And, the picture was taken without the rainfly... but, this is where I sleep.

This is the view from our camper at a place we stayed at along the Erie Canal! We spent the weekend going to winery's and antique shops in the finger lakes region, some bea Tiflis country around there!

I've always wondered about those setups. What is the brand? Is it comfortable and roomy enough?

Where are you planning on going? I may have some ideas for places if you need any.

The tent is made by Autohome in Italy. It's called an Airtop. This is my 5th RTT and by far the best. It has plenty of room for the wife and I. There is a mattress inside and we leave the bedding stored in the tent. Setup takes a few seconds and takedown time is a few minutes.

We haven't really decided yet, we usually find a centrally located campground and do a bunch of day trips on the motorcycle! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

When it's closed up does it look like one of those hard luggage carriers?
