that reminded me of one of my favorite paintings.

(the Cossacks are composing a nasty reply to the Muslim Turks who asked them to surrender)

I figured you or @G30SF/F-250 would post the cow picture. And if Travis posted it, I thought you'd post the picture of the green wall.

This is one of my favorites. Beyond Negotiations by Bev Doolittle. Looks much better close up.

    Unknown Presence. Bev Doolittle

This is my all time favorite.

This is what Bev Doolittle wrote about it. She has small explanations for a lot of her work.

If you've ever been camping out in the wilderness you can relate to this painting. Picture yourself sitting around a campfire. Somewhere out there in the darkness you hear something. Is it the wind, a bear, or is it just your imagination? This Mountain Man has heard something and it worries him enough that he's reaching for his rifle. You gotta figure a gut this experienced isn't just imagining things. There is something out there! If you don't believe him, or me, just look at his horse. He hears it too! No I'm not going to tell you what the "Presence" is. I'm not really sure..."--Bev Doolittle

Pretty much anything by Jack Vettriano. This is my favorite however. It's on my wall, my computer desktop, phone backgrounds, etc...has been for years.

Another favorite, and the first serious print I bought. This picture doesn’t show the detail as well as I’d like. When standing in front of it, portions of it look like a photograph.

Up Against the Fence, by Pamela Patrick White.

I am sure it was just luck that I beat him here with that one. I used to have this one- it was popular at Spencers Gifts or some similar place.

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Well I have some of my own paintings and designs. Here are a few. All were done in the late 70s except the Veteran "Veterun" which I did while at the VA in early 1980. The others were done when at Rock Valley Junior College maybe 1977. Later.

Andrew Wyeth is one of my favorite painters. The first time I saw "Christina's World" it blew me away. it was a full color 2 page spread in Life Magazine in 1966 and I was in my senior year of high school and just getting interested in art. I never really could figure out what it was about that painting that got to me but it did. This is another painting like that. it creates a mood.

Of American artists, I also like Edward hopper and Winslow Homer. But I also like the French impressionists, Salvador Dali, and Rene Magritte.
