I have a good friend who is a K-9 cop in New Jersey. He has a Maligator, too!
There seem to be a lot of Mals in Law Enforcement and the Military. Not so many owned by the citizenry. Kinda rare to see them outside of these applications.
when I got my first full blooded mal rescue 3 years ago I didn't run into any other mal owners now I see more and more mals and still a lot of people think they are a GSD mix and haven't heard of the breed

My brother just adopted this beauty yesterday..
I spy some bitey bitey stuff in the background. Good for him! He’ll have fun with it.
From day one, Whitey (yes, he is a Pit Bull) has been the friendliest dog that ever was. You can turn him loose on a playground full of five year olds and walk away. The worst that will happen is he will hit them with his tail. Also, he is no kind of watchdog. When my other dog left us we've taken to spoiling him; leaving the back door open so he can go in and out as he pleases, nice bed with extra padding...
My daughter loves him.
