I use to see tomahawks in the store and thought who in their right mind buys these things. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I never considered a need for a tomahawk before this thread, and now I’m shopping $500 versions.

I did go to an axe-throwing bar earlier this year. It was surprisingly fun.

Watched it. Was the warhead deactivated? I was hoping for a big K'boom.

I've been making some leather sheaths for some custom axes. So I went to Etsy to get ideas on sheath styles. You guys interested in getting one/another tomahawk should check out that site. There are some beautiful Damascus steel hawks. Some are just dolled up CS hawks. But others... Oh my.
    Here is a couple teasers:

The second one there I like the shape of the head. But since my primary focus is on throwing them I like a smooth handle.

Man that is a high speed camera. Got tired of waiting and sped up playback to 2X.

Felt like there should have been a nervous looking coyote holding a sign at the bulls eye.

There used to be a member here who was a fedérale, PuroMexico was his handle here. He carried a winkler with that badass spike above the blade, as part of his raid kit. His posts was were I first fell in love with Mr. Winkler’s work.

For the same reason people spend that much on a knife. They are made from super high end steels like 80crv that offer an incredible balance between toughness and hardness. Fit, finish, QC, ergos, etc.

Que? I ordered a Rune on Fri. (Maybe Thurs.) Last week and got it on Monday. I was impressed with the speed. Haven't done anything with mine yet but for $40 it was a no brainer purchase. I like the sheath for it.

Same here, ordered 3 they showed up a couple days later.
They are pretty nice hawks as I had expected from CRKT, especially at half price.
Tossed one in my vehicle will strap the others on some grab and go packs.

Very cool. I've got a video of my self and my buddy doing simultaneous throws, both with two axes underhand. I've also got a couple of me doing a two handed throw where the ax in my left hand is a 'regular' throw and the one in my right is underhand.
