Mas, enjoyed several of your books. Very helpful. My wife has had a lot of firearms training, but believes she would never be able to take a life, even if it meant saving her own. What are your thoughts on contact stun guns? She thinks she wants a stun flashlight.

The contact stun guns require at least five seconds of uninterrupted contact to create a "collapse effect." If she was strong enough to hold a strong, violently resisting man still for that long, she probably wouldn't need a stun gun.

The "civilian TASER" might be a better approach, but is not legal in every state. Google "TASER International" for a list of states where they are legal. If that doesn't work out for her jurisdiction, pepper spray accompanied by training might be her best bet.

    Best,
    Mas

Thanks Mas. I actually think her best bet is an aluminum softball bat she keeps handy. Wife is "A" tennis player and has a really mean backhand. I can just see a jury deliberating that one....
